REVIEW #344 Drive Away Dolls (2024)

In the search for a fresh start, two girls embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee which soon takes a wild turn as they cross paths with inept criminals.

This film flew under the radar for me, I didn’t see a single bit of advertising and just happened to stumble across it when looking for a film to see in the cinema. I won’t proclaim the film a masterpiece, it’s far from it and is likely to be forgotten about pretty quickly but it was a fun watch nonetheless. A silly comedy with a silly set of antagonists but it did have people laughing in the theatres, so it worked well at times. I couldn’t quite believe it was Ethan Coen who directed the movie, but it does explain how they managed to persuade Pedro Pascal and Matt Damon to make cameos! It’s a super short film, so it won’t take up too much of your time.

Overall (6/10)
Thanks for reading.
