REVIEW #429 The Accountant 2 (2025)
The Accountant 2
Synopsis
Forensic accountant Christian Wolff teams up with his estranged, but extremely deadly brother, to track down international assassins.
My Review
The Accountant 2 is the kind of action film the world needs, not perfect but simply fun, enjoyable carnage, with the added benefit of a super interesting protagonist in Christian Wolff. The film was at its best when Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal were sharing the screen, not even necessarily during the action sequences either, but the road trip style brotherly moments that injected the heart into the storyline. If I’m being honest, I hope we get The Accountant 3 that heavily leans into that because it’s absolute gold, the chemistry between the two is great and the contrast in character personalities allows for humour but also illustrates some of the hardships autistic people have with relationships. The combat choreography is great, ultra realistic and it’s a breath of fresh air to see a film actually show their heroes actually needing to reload for once! I’ll always have a lot of love for these films, definitely worth getting out to see the highly anticipated sequel if you can!
My Rating: 7.5 out of 10
