My Review

In a world full of generic romance flicks, Eternity separates itself from the crowd with its creative take on the afterlife, it’s charming comedy and a love triangle that will be sure to divide audiences! I thought the real gem of this film was Da’Vine Joy Randolph who illustrated stellar comedic timing and an ability to tow the line between humour and empathy really well, she was the glue that held the film together. Miles Teller is just an incredibly likeable protagonist and Larry was definitely the most relatable character for me! My only criticism is that I didn’t always buy into the chemistry of the main trio as love interests, they all performed really well don’t get me wrong, but the characters relationships just didn’t consistently feel believable enough. But all in all, I had a really good time with Eternity and it’s a shame it has a pretty limited release schedule and not much marketing at all because it definitely deserved a bigger push from A24 and Apple!

My Rating: 7.8 out of 10
